Another collision course between fashion and law?
In Scotland, kilt wearers will require a license to wear an accompanying sporran. This new legislation comes into effect to protect animals whose fur is used to make chic sporrans. To acquire the license, applicants must prove that the affected animal was rightfully killed.
Otherwise, a six months ‘behind bar’ time or a five grand pound fine will be applicable. Its just not clear though what methods will be used to tell what animal was rightfully killed or what sporran is rightfully made; I bet some C.S.I will come in handy.
